About These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Tastebud app at app.tastebudofficial and website, operated by TASTEBUDOFFICIAL LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House number: 16665627).
By creating an account or using the Tastebud app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Tastebud.
1. What Tastebud Is (and Isn't)
Tastebud is an information platform. We collect allergen and dietary data declared by food vendors and display it to help you find food options that suit your needs at street food events and festivals.
Tastebud is not a food safety authority, an allergen testing service, or a guarantor of any information on the platform. We do not independently verify or test allergen or dietary information provided by vendors.
All allergen and dietary information on Tastebud is vendor-declared. It reflects what vendors have told us, not an independent assessment of their food.
Important allergen safety warning: If you have a food allergy, intolerance, or dietary requirement that could seriously affect your health, you must always speak directly to the vendor before ordering. Do not rely solely on information displayed in the Tastebud app. Ingredients and preparation methods can change without notice, and cross-contamination risks vary by environment.
2. Your Account
To access personalised features, you will need to create an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us at info@tastebudofficial.co.uk if you believe your account has been compromised.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create a Tastebud account.
3. Your Allergen and Dietary Preferences
Tastebud allows you to set allergen and dietary preferences in your profile. This information is used to filter and personalise vendor and dish results for you.
Your allergen and dietary preference data is health-related information. By setting preferences in the app, you are giving us your explicit consent to store and use this information solely to personalise your experience on the platform.
You can update or delete your dietary preferences at any time from your account settings. We do not sell your personal or health data to any third party.
4. Information on the Platform
Tastebud displays vendor menu items, allergen information covering the 14 FSA-regulated allergens, dietary status (e.g. vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal), and cross-contamination information, all as declared by vendors.
This information is provided in good faith. Tastebud does not guarantee that it is accurate, complete, or up to date. Always treat information on Tastebud as a useful starting point, not a definitive safety guarantee.
5. Our Liability to You
Tastebud provides this service with reasonable care and skill. However, we exclude all liability to the fullest extent permitted by law for any allergic reaction, illness, or harm resulting from reliance on vendor-declared information; inaccurate or out-of-date vendor information; or the quality or safety of food purchased from any vendor listed on Tastebud.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, fraud, or any other liability we cannot limit by law. Your statutory rights as a UK consumer remain unaffected.
6. How You May Use Tastebud
You may use Tastebud for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not scrape or redistribute data without our written permission, attempt to access systems you are not authorised to access, or use the platform in any unlawful way.
7. Closing Your Account
You can close your account at any time by contacting us at info@tastebudofficial.co.uk or through account settings. On closure, we will delete or anonymise your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of Tastebud after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
9. Intellectual Property
The Tastebud platform, including its software, design, branding, and compiled data, is owned by TASTEBUDOFFICIAL LTD. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
